Dr. Jared T. Bowyer was born and raised in Vancouver,
Washington, and is a graduate of Prairie High School. His undergraduate
studies were completed at the University of Washington, where he
received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. From there he
moved to the heart of New York City to pursue a degree in Dentistry
at Columbia University’s School of Dental and Oral Surgery.
After the completion of his 2nd year, Dr. Bowyer was one of 2 students
chosen to participate in a one of a kind honors program at a prestigious
5th Avenue, Manhattan dental practice under the guidance of Dr.
Jeffrey Dorman (drdorfman.com). During this time Dr. Bowyer gained
extensive experience in all the major fields of dentistry including
esthetic dentistry, crown and bridge and patient management. He
was also elected to teach as an assistant for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
year dental students in the areas of dental anatomy, occlusion,
operative dentistry and prosthodontics.
At graduation from Columbia University, Dr. Bowyer received an
award from the Academy of General Dentistry and was recognized/honored
by Columbia University as the Best General Practitioner in his class.
Now he is living and practicing back in Vancouver, Washington where he enjoys
teaching at Clark Colleges school of hygiene as well as an digital
photography course with Dr. Brad McPhee D.D.S.
Memberships: American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Society,
American Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of
Cosmetic Dentistry.
